How to properly use self-service laundries?

When our washing machine breaks down or when we're on vacation and want to wash and dry clothes quickly and efficiently, we always have self-service laundries as an option, and to make better use of this service, just follow these steps:
1. Clothing Preparation
Before going to the laundry, separate clothes by colors and fabric types. White and colored clothes should be washed separately to avoid stains. Also check pockets and remove objects that could damage the machine.
2. Machine Selection
Select a washing machine suitable for the size of your load. Don't overload the machine - leave enough space for clothes to move during washing. For drying, use an appropriate dryer.
3. Detergent and Fabric Softener
Use quality detergent in the recommended amount. Too much detergent can leave residue on clothes, while too little may not clean properly. Fabric softener is optional but helps keep clothes soft.
4. Water Temperature
For very dirty white clothes, use hot water (40-60°C). For colored and delicate clothes, use cold or warm water (30°C). Always check clothing labels.
5. Drying
After washing, transfer clothes to the dryer. Don't overload the dryer and use appropriate temperature. Some delicate items should be air dried.
6. Organization
Keep the laundry clean and organized. Remove clothes from machines as soon as the cycle ends so other customers can use the equipment.
With these simple steps, you can make the most of self-service laundry services and keep your clothes always clean and well cared for.
