Separate the clothes

It is important to separate the clothes and wash them separately, according to the instructions on the labels, so as not to damage your clothes.

Washing

Some delicate clothes require hand washing and for this you should use cold or warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can damage delicate fibers. Make sure that delicate clothes are completely immersed in water, agitating or rubbing gently to remove dirt and let them soak for a few minutes. Then rinse thoroughly. For those that are machine washable it is important to take some precautions in addition to following the label instructions, such as washing the clothes in a mesh bag to protect the fabric fibers and using mild detergents and a delicate program.

Drying delicate clothes

Never wring or squeeze delicate clothes when removing them from the water. Instead, press gently to remove excess water and then place them on a clean, dry towel to absorb the rest of the moisture. Avoid drying delicate clothes directly in sunlight or in a dryer. Instead, hang them on a hanger, clothesline or on a clean towel horizontally and let them dry naturally.

Ironing delicate clothes

When ironing delicate clothes, use the lowest possible iron temperature and avoid steam. Check the instructions on the labels to know what care you should have for each type of fabric. Always iron clothes inside out, use a clean, dry cloth between the clothes and the iron to avoid burns or stains.
